Kingsgate Insurance Center, Inc. was founded by Ed Smith in 1990 as Ag Business Associates. Due to Ed's past experience in farming and farm management, Ag began primarily to service the needs of those engaged in the agricultural field. Built on strong midwestern values and work ethic, Ag Business grew offering farm, crop, and benefits insurance to its customers.
In 1995, the business made the move from the Boston Centre in downtown Fort Dodge to its current location in the Kingsgate Center and took on the name Kingsgate Insurance Center, Inc. in relation to its new home. From there Kingsgate diversified its products and expanded from the oringinal combination of Ed and his wife Denise, to its current staff of eight.
While remaning true to its roots, Kingsgate now offers a wide range of products and services including both personal and commercial insurance as well as different types of financial planning services. Kingsgate is licensed to sell insurance in all of the yellow shaded states on the map below:
