Crop Insurance 101: Crop-Hail Optional Endorsements
Endorsements are available, for additional rate, to add coverage to Crop-Hail insurance policies. Listed below are a few of those options to consider.
Corn and Soybean Replant Endorsement
Coverage is provided for insurable causes of loss, other than hail, that damages the corn or soybeans to the extent that they need to be replanted. This coverage is in addition to what is provided by the Multi-Peril Insurance Policy (MPCI). Coverage can be purchased in $100 per acre increments.
Wind Coverage for Corn (Lodging and Green Snap)
Two coverages are provided by this: lodging caused by natural wind and/or direct damage due to Green Snap to your Corn. Two end of insurance dates are available, October 1st or November 1st.
Extra Harvest Expense Coverage
This endorsement is intended to provide coverage of 8% of the liability limit on effected acres. The payment on qualifying acres is only made on those harvested.
