Crop Insurance 101: Replant

Most Multiple Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) policies provide replanting coverage. Though it might not encompass all the expenses associated with replanting. Some Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) offer an option to mitigate a portion of replanting costs exceeding coverage offered by the underlying MPCI policy with a supplemental replanting coverage.

Covered perils may encompass:

• Adverse weather conditions
• Natural fire incidents
• Insects, assuming adequate pest control measures are implemented
• Plant diseases, assuming adequate disease control measures are taken
• Wildlife
